The Deets
Located in the Northern Province of Rwanda is the award winning Dukunde Kawa cooperative—they won the Specialty Coffee Association's Sustainability Award back in 2012 and have grown to 2,000+ workers today! To add, over 80% of the workforce are women and producer-members have access to supplemental livestock income, cooperative-wide healthcare and environmental sustainability.
This cooperative regularly makes some of the best coffee in the region. They put a tremendous emphasis on growth and harvesting—and the quality speaks for itself.
In this 100% Red Bourbon, fully-washed offering, expect the classic East African stonefruit-sweetness (plum, apricot, black cherry) alongside raw sugarcane, raspberry jam and a creamy milk chocolate-like mouthfeel!
